A talking point
This is something a bit different for your iPhone - take it back to Mother Nature with a wooden cover.
Excellent first impressions with a very funky package - bright yellow and in the shape of an arrow. You can't miss it. It would be a great gift. The first thing you notice is that it's not hard - this is not a solid construction, because it's flexible TPU. It can flex and has some "give" in it. This makes fitting it onto your phone an absolute doddle, as it can be temporarily stretched as the phone is fitted, before returning to its original shape. It fits my iPhone 6S Plus very snuggly indeed.
Cut outs are exactly as the manufacturer describes, neat and precise. Plenty of room to get a charger in, a set of headphones, and access the speakers and silence slider. The buttons for volume and power are covered, but again the snug fit means that they're perfectly positioned and easy to activate.
I always carry out a "slip" test with phone covers. Essentially, can I hold it loosely in my hand without it slipping out. Clear TPU cases usually fail this, but because of the "grain" (I'm not convinced it's real wood!) the friction is increased, and it stays in my hand well. Not perfectly, like with my non slip backed Spigen case, but pretty well.
Protection level is okay. The case stays in line with the phone. There is no real raised lip to help protect the screen if it should fall face down, which is a bit of a worry, and the reason I'm only giving four stars. However, if it's slimline protection which you're looking for, this will certainly tick the box. It would probably be better to describe it as a skin, rather than a case. Thanks to the manufacturer, who sent my this product in exchange for an honest review. It's a nice little case, and will be a good talking point when my phone comes out with me next.
